What We Believe

We believe animal comfort is a top priority. We maintain groups of 40 or fewer animals per pasture.

Keeping them clean and providing fresh water and hay at all times ensures the cattle can enjoy comfortable, stress-free lives.

We also believe that quality feed makes quality beef. While we like to give the cows open pasture to graze on as much as possible, we have to produce alfalfa/grass for winter feed.

Alfalfa is a natural source of high protein we feed as an alternative to soy protein. Alfalfa/grass gives them the extra energy they need to deal with the harsh temps of winter. Even while they are on pasture they have access to hay if they choose.

While antibiotics may be used during sickness -- much like ourselves -- we do not add antibiotics to the cattle's feed; and we do not give them steroids or hormones. We strive to produce beef that is as clean and pure as possible without jeopardizing the health and welfare of the animals.
